Questions people actually ask
Straight answers, including the ones that are not flattering.
Will everything look orange?
Warmer, not orange. The amber tint takes the edge off the blue end of the spectrum, so whites read slightly cream and cool tones soften. Most people stop noticing within about ten minutes.
If color accuracy is critical to your work — photo retouching, print design, grading — wear them for reading and email, not for the work itself.
Can I wear these over my prescription glasses?
No. Arden is a standalone non-prescription frame, and it is not designed to fit over another pair.
If you wear a prescription full-time, these will not replace it. Contact lens wearers can wear Arden over their lenses without any issue.
Are these good for gaming?
Long late sessions are what the amber tint is built for. The tradeoff is color: competitive players who rely on precise color cues may prefer to keep them off during ranked play.
For everything else — campaigns, building, long co-op nights — most people leave them on.
Do I need to get used to them?
Usually a few minutes, not days. The first time you put them on, the color shift is obvious. Your vision adapts quickly and the tint stops registering.
If you feel any discomfort that does not settle, stop wearing them and speak to an eye care professional.
What do the lenses actually do?
They filter part of the blue light emitted by screens and include an anti-glare coating for softer evening viewing.
We will not tell you they prevent eye strain or repair your sleep. The research on screen blue light and eye health is not settled, and anyone claiming otherwise is ahead of the evidence. What we can say is that the tint makes a bright screen in a dark room easier to look at.
Will they fit my face?
Arden is a medium-to-large frame with a lightweight build and spring hinges that give slightly at the temples.
If your current glasses feel narrow, these will suit you. If they feel wide, size down. Full measurements are in the sizing section above.
What if I do not like them?
Wear them for thirty days. If they are not for you, email us and we will refund you in full.
No restocking fee, and no explanation required.
